Animation Germany
Animation Germany is the information and marketing organisation of the German animation and VFX production industry abroad. From September 2020 it is under the umbrella of German Films in order to gain visibility and do justice to the ever-increasing importance of the Animation and VFX sectors in Germany. Companies and the strengths of the sector in Germany should have an active representation in the international business environment and an attractive platform for supporting economic development.
AG Animationsfilm - Animation Association Germany
AG Animationsfilm is Germany's national association for animation professionals, representing the entire spectrum of this diverse and creative industry. Our mission is to connect filmmakers in Germany and strengthen German animated film across all formats - from short films and feature films to series, XR and experimental works.
As the unified voice of German animated film, we advocate for our members in political bodies, cultural institutions and in negotiations with platforms and broadcasters. We also campaign for more visibility, better financing, talent promotion and comprehensive industry growth, while strengthening connections to the worldwide animation community.

AG Kurzfilm - German Short Film Association
The German Short Film Association – with members including film festivals, film and art schools, short film distributors and sales companies, as well as film industry institutions – is the representational and lobbying body for German short film. Its ambition is to improve the public awareness of German short film, both nationally and internationally.
In this regard, the association takes part in a variety of film markets, e.g. Annecy’s MIFA, where a focus is put on short animated films. It functions as a service center for makers and producers of shorts, as well as for various short film institutions. Furthermore, it is a contact source on German short film for political bodies, the film industry, cinemas and film festivals.

APD - Animation Production Days
Animation Production Days (APD) in Stuttgart is the most important co-production and financing market for animation in Germany. It brings together co-production, financing and distribution partners for animation projects in efficient one-to-one meetings and offers focused debates and lectures on current challenges of the industry with the APD Conference.

With around 375 member companies from the fields of animation, entertainment, documentary, television, cinema and advertising, the German Producers Alliance is the leading and independent representative body for producers of film, TV and audiovisual media in Germany.
