Ahoifilm was founded in 2000 by Meike Fehre and creates animated short films, mostly based on German history, for TV (Arte France Karambolage), exhibitions and theatres, such as films for the Threepenny Opera for the St. Pauli Theatre Hamburg as well as Don Quixote for Schauspiel Frankfurt.
The studio is specialized in cutout- and collage techniques and has successfully produced awardwinning short films shown on festivals and exhibitions all over the world.
Along with a proven expert team consisting of Authors, Commedians, Illustrators and Musicians, Ahoifilm focuses on independent productions, unique concepts and lovely character designs.
The pre-school series and a TV-special of „The Musifants“ have been sold in 118 countries and will be released in French cinemas in 2025.
