OVERTOON Studios is a 2D animation studio based in Freiburg, specializing in the production of animated music videos since its founding in January 2020. Over this time, the studio has built a portfolio of 14 music videos for both German and international artists (including Seeed, Papa Roach, Marteria, Moses Pelham, Megaloh, and others), achieving a wide reach in the double-digit million range.
The studio’s stylistic spectrum ranges from fun, 90s TV-style cartoons to dark comic visuals with socially critical themes and post-apocalyptic future visions. Beyond creating aesthetically captivating visuals, OVERTOON Studios is dedicated to storytelling and conveying attitude with a statement—always aligned with the mood of the music and the artist’s lyrical message. Through dramaturgy, timing, and carefully chosen animation techniques, the studio ensures that each song is visually brought to life.

Zombiemodus
Zombiemodus marks the second of three connected music videos for the german rapper Megaloh. It's balanced between exaggerated reality and self-mocking, future visions, displaying themes of police state, digital despotism and class struggle. Right in the middle there is Megaloh.

Yael & Loop are going on an colorful adventure to Weedtopia, having the blast of their lives, being stoned 24/7, and eventually plunging into the loud, weird life of this city. The only obstacle in their way is the self-doubt following them, reflected by creatures and the final boss awaiting them at the end of their journey. The video is spiked with pop culture references left and right and mimics with its colorful, fun and loud illustration style the feeling of being high as fuck.
