Thomas Springer and Helmut G. Weber founded TRADEWIND PICTURES GmbH in September 1998. Tradewind is a film production company based in Cologne and Erfurt. The company produces entertaining and ambitious feature films, mainly children’s films / family entertainment and international co-productions as well as documentaries for a German and international audience.
In October 2000, they established an office in Erfurt (Thuringia), which is involved in the development, financing and realization of national and international feature film productions. Since 2004 their qualification program TP2 Talentpool tries to assist the development of the participants’ personalities.
